It is understood that Bangladesh's textile and apparel exports to more than 100 countries, the export volume of more than 14 billion U.S. dollars, clothing exports have been ahead of South Asia and other Southeast Asian countries.

In 2010, it has become the fourth largest garment exporter in the world. Bangladesh has 7500 textile and garment factories, and 75% of the fabric yarns need to be imported annually.

Bangladesh knitwear is also the top 3 exporting countries, after China and Turkey.

Under the global economic crisis, Bangladesh has shifted from China to Bangladesh and full of business opportunities because of its low labor costs and many other advantages.

Bangladesh and Vietnam play an important role in the export market of China's fabrics.

In 2010, the total export volume of fabrics exported to China and the two countries reached 11.12% and 10.38% respectively.

It can be predicted that Vietnam and Bangladesh will become the largest market for China's fabrics.

Bangladesh has a population of 145 million and its market is growing.

textile

For the country's largest export industry, the fast growing garment industry accounted for 76% of the total export volume, and Bangladesh exported $7 billion 500 million in clothing, ranking the top five in the world's apparel exports.

In 2010, the export target was set at US $10 billion.

Bangladesh currently has 247 private spinning mills, with 5 million 200 thousand production capacity, 365 weaving factories, and 900 million cubic meters of grey cloth.

There are also 1 billion 100 million meters of grey cloth produced by semi mechanized / mechanized power looms and hand looms, and more than 4000 garment factories and 4 million 500 thousand workers.

Although it is generally believed that the post quota era is unfavorable to it, Bangladesh's textile and garment industry has maintained a momentum of growth in the past 2005-2006 years.

Because of the WTO's restrictions on the protection of Chinese textiles, some American buyers have shifted their orders from China to Bangladesh.

And Bangladesh enjoys the duty-free market under the EU's GSP and EBA.

Bangladesh exports to Canada, Australia, Japan, Norway and other countries to enjoy duty-free market entry treatment.

To speed up its economic development, the Bangladesh government attaches great importance to attracting foreign investment.

The government has promulgated a series of financial and non-financial incentives and policies, including tax holidays, cancellation of all non-tariff barriers, tax free importation of capital machinery, provision of cash assistance for exporters to purchase cloth from the country and so on. Bangladesh also followed very free and open import practices.

Bangladesh's currency is stable and its inflation rate is low.

Despite fierce international competition, Bangladesh can compete with any other country in textile and clothing exports.

Huge potential and market opportunities have led to the continuous growth of the textile industry in recent years.

Now is the opportunity to enter the Bangladesh market.

Bengal

The government announced the economic stimulus plan of 1 billion Taka to support the garment industry affected by the global recession, including the allowance for self made power plants of garment factories, and the garment factories with annual export earnings of US $3 million 500 thousand will give 5% cash subsidies. The factories without gas self provided power stations will give 10% of the electricity discount and yarn export also enjoy cash subsidies.
