Google Liu Yun Releases Video Banner Advertising

Liu Yun, Google Global Vice President

Since March this year Google It has been more than 8 months since it announced that it would transfer its Chinese web search business to its Hong Kong site. Yesterday, Alan Eustace, Google's senior vice president of engineering and research, revealed that Google's R&D staff turnover rate in China was very low. Even in very difficult times, engineers still chose to stay with Google.

Eustace made the above statement at the Google Innovation Forum held in Beijing yesterday. This is also the first large-scale technology seminar forum held by Google in China since the event of "Google's withdrawal from China" in early 2010.

For Google's high-profile innovation forum, some insiders believe that in a sense, it means that Google's policy in China has been repositioned and has begun to implement, and the next work is to restore to the level of sales and research and development in China before March this year.

According to the data released by Analysys International, Google's China search market share in the third quarter of 2010 fell to 21.6% from 35.9% in the fourth quarter of last year in terms of revenue.

However, Google's vice president in charge of sales and operations in Greater China Liu Yun In an interview with the Financial Times, he said that he was still optimistic about Google's business prospects in China, "we still have good traffic, and the revenue is growing month on month (month on month)".

This is the first time that Google has commented on the commercial consequences of this move since its Chinese website jumped to Hong Kong.

Liu Yun said that Google China is actively expanding its presence on other websites Publish video and Banner advertising This business is to make up for part of the search market share lost after leaving the mainland market.

Liu Yun revealed that "in the past 12 months, China has become one of Google's largest 'display' markets in the world, and it is still growing rapidly".

"Display" in Liu Yun's mouth is not a text search advertisement on the side of search results.

As we all know, Google's current main source of revenue is text search advertising. The so-called text search advertising refers to the text advertising links that appear in the returned results after the user types in the search keywords. Users can click these links to visit the advertiser's website. On the whole, the form of text search advertising is more concise. Display ads occupy a large space in the web page, usually including banner ads and pop-up ads, and many display ads also add video and animation elements.

However, Eric Schmidt, CEO of Google, said in July this year that display advertising will become Google's "next development opportunity".

Liu Yun said that he felt that the scale of China's display advertising market was far larger than the search advertising business.

In addition to displaying advertisements, Google also has high hopes of attracting Chinese companies to publish advertisements on Google's websites in other countries - which is called export business. Liu Yun said that this business will account for a large part of Google's revenue in China. One third to one half of Google's revenue in China comes from the advertisements made by Chinese companies on Google's foreign websites.

In addition, Liu Yun said that the number of R&D and sales personnel of Google China was the same as last year, and it was still recruiting new staff.

Aggressive Workplace Etiquette

Anyway, after chatting for more than half an hour, after talking dozens of "incredibly", I only expressed one meaning: she wore formal formal dress, and wanted to spend the evening respectfully. In the wind for half an hour on the stilettos, still did not call a taxi.
