Vietnamese Apparel In Textile Industry

 

According to Vietnam's clothing and textile industry development plan, in 2008 ~2010, Vietnam's textile and garment industry output value will increase by 16%~18% annually and export growth by 20%; in 2011 ~2020, the output value will increase by 12%~14% annually and export growth by 15%.

In 2010, the total business revenue will reach 14 billion 800 million US dollars, reaching 22 billion 500 million US dollars in 2015 and 31 billion US dollars in 2020, and Vietnam will be among the top five in world garment and textile production in 2015.

It is reported that in the first half of this year, Vietnam exported 4 billion 200 million US dollars of clothing and textiles, of which US $2 billion was exported to the United States.

It plans to export $9 billion 500 million for the whole year, and exports to the US $5 billion 500 million.

The United States is Vietnam's largest export market for clothing and textiles, followed by the European Union and Japan.

At present, the production of garment textiles is mainly foreign-funded enterprises, accounting for 75%, private and joint-stock enterprises account for 25%, and state-owned enterprises account for 5%.
